How is a flex LED sheet different from a rigid LED panel?

A flex LED sheet puts the LEDs directly on a thin, bendable circuit so the light source itself covers the surface. A rigid LED panel — a light guide panel — pushes light in from its edges through a sheet of acrylic. The flex sheet is thinner (LightWave® is under 7 mm), cuts to shape on site and follows curves; a rigid panel is flat and fixed in size but can be very uniform in small, flat frames.
